Clapham Park Development Share this post Home » Men’s Den Facilitator Men’s Den Facilitator Date: June 3, 2025 We’re looking for a DBS checked, skilled and empathetic facilitator for the Men’s Den project on the Clapham Park Estate. Locations: The Cube, Clapham Park and Moorlands Community Centre Hours: Tuesdays 6.30pm-8.30pm and Thursdays, 7:30pm – 9:30pm (4 hours/week) Rate: £35 per hour Contract Type: Self-employed or Sole Trader Responsibilities Facilitate engaging and supportive conversations tailored to the needs of men in the group. Create a safe, non-judgemental environment that encourages openness and participation. Identify key issues faced by participants (e.g. mental health, finances, housing, employment) and refer them to relevant local support services. Arrange and host guest speakers or themed sessions aligned with identified group needs. Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR and safeguarding protocols. Produce monthly reports detailing attendance, session content, participant feedback, outcomes, and impact. Liaise with Regional Community Coordinator and contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the programme Person Specification (Essential) Experience facilitating well-being or peer support groups, particularly with men or vulnerable adults. Strong understanding of the societal and structural issues affecting men, including mental health, social isolation, and access to services. Excellent written communication and report-writing skills. Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse individuals. Experience of making referrals and working with external support services. Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality practices (incl. GDPR). Valid DBS check Must be self-employed or a sole trader in order to be registered as an MTVH supplier Knowledge of local services and community needs in Lambeth Experience incorporating creative or therapeutic activities into group sessions.
